Develop Your Current Employees

Develop your high-potential employees by giving them the confidence and skills to lead your strategic priorities. The Graduate Certificate in Engineering Leadership, whether a stand-alone certificate or integrated with a Master’s Degree, prepares employees to lead, not leave.

Gordon Fellow Candidates tackle topics and challenges directly related to engineers’ professional responsibilities and aim to grow their understanding and appreciation of the organization’s position in the marketplace.

The Gordon Institute develops engineers to become confident and capable with a broader skillset and a deeper understanding of your company’s position in the market.

The cornerstone of your employee’s educational experience will be The Challenge Project, an intense individual project focused on solving a technical challenge that is relevant and meaningful to your organization. This unique opportunity for personal and professional growth will further equip your employees to lead and innovate in their roles.

What is a Challenge Project

The Challenge Project is a technical individual project grounded in real-world application with quantifiable results.

The candidate(s) that your organization internally nominates and/or candidates that your organization hires will be dedicated to solving a technical challenge in their engineering discipline and developing a solution that will have a measurable impact on your organization.

This project-based learning experience allows candidates to directly apply classroom concepts and techniques to lead a project of value at their sponsor company.

“Sending engineers through the program accelerates the contributions engineers can make within the company. Gordon candidates deliver Challenge Projects tied to the company’s core needs so we’re getting both direct technical acceleration and engineers with the skills to help us succeed as a company.”
