The Gordon Institute does not offer any undergraduate programs for academic credit; however, undergraduate students may take advantage of the following opportunities.

Undergraduate Student Applicants

Students in their last year of undergraduate education are eligible to apply to the master’s level Gordon Institute of Engineering Leadership Program. All applicants must have a bachelor’s degree at the time of beginning the program.

Candidates may earn a Graduate Certificate in Engineering Leadership as a stand-alone graduate certificate in one year or in conjunction with one of twenty MS degrees.

Northeastern Students pursuing the PlusOne Program may complete The Graduate Certificate in Engineering Leadership coursework as part of their master’s level coursework. PlusOne students interested in combining the Graduate Certificate in Engineering Leadership should speak with a Gordon Insitute Team Member to discuss an individualized curriculum plan.

Gordon Undergraduate Leadership Development Workshop

Northeastern Undergraduate students are invited to participate in The Gordon Undergraduate Leadership Development Workshop in conjunction with their co-op experience. This workshop series is zero semester hours and free for Northeastern Undergraduate students. Workshop sessions are held in the spring and summer semesters. Visit the workshop page to learn more.

Northeastern Undergraduate Student Group Leadership Workshop Sessions

The Gordon Institute offers leadership development workshop sessions for Northeastern Undergraduate student groups upon request. Sessions are facilitated by Col. Mike Manning, Gordon Institute Professor of Engineering Leadership. These hands-on sessions are designed to facilitate professional development and team building within student organizations.

Leadership Lab framework Gordon Institute of Engineering Leadership Northeastern UniversityThis exercise aims to invite a conversation among members of your organization concerning what a leader is and what a leader does. First, we will leverage an interactive leadership framework to identify shared values within your organization and inspire team building. Next, our leadership professor will further explore the stages of team development, trust, and how to build a high-performing team. This exercise serves as an example of the Gordon Institute’s experiential leadership development curriculum. At the end of the program, Gordon Fellows emerge with the confidence, vision, and technical dexterity to drive positive change within their organizations.
