Welcome to the Gordon Institute of Engineering Leadership at Northeastern University the home of an innovative framework, recognized by the National Academy of Engineering, that combines Northeastern’s signature focus on experiential learning with the rigorous study and mastery of both human and technical leadership.

Our goal is to give you the knowledge, skills, and attitude to enable you to accelerate your career: for example, typically, within one year of completing our program, around 50 percent of our students receive a promotion, and within two years, this rises to around 75 percent. These results are achieved by enabling our students to successfully manage and lead engineering teams to produce outstanding results that are a win for both the leaders and the organization.

The combination of classroom exposure to leadership, product development, and fundamentals followed by the delivery of a mentored Challenge Project provides you the opportunity to develop a level of mastery of engineering leadership capabilities that would otherwise take years of industry experience to acquire.
